Jewelry dresses up fashion, but what about your home? See how drawer pulls, mirrors, art, and other interior accents turn up the glamour.

A series of circular mirrors crowns the peacock-hued bed in this serene Hamptons bedroom by Jen Going. The silver-gray grass cloth wrapping the walls reminds the designer of a classic summer-weight suit. A triptych from Trowbridge introduces cool hues and an oceanic aura.

    Sit Pretty

Designer Marie Flanigan opted for nailhead trim and pull detailing to dress up the tufted linen chairs surrounding the oak dining table in this Houston home. The antique-brass finish contrasts well with the chair’s white linen. “You can bleach it if you need to,” says Flanigan of the Perennials indoor-outdoor fabric.

    Lavish Lighting

Designer Melanie Turner knows how to set the scene for a Saturday night dinner party. Covered in tulle for a party-ready ambience, the “Adriana” crystal chandelier from Ralph Lauren steals the spotlight overhead. Complementing sconces dripping in crystals keep to the glitzy theme.

    Hood Envy

A focal-point range and coordinating black-and-brass vent hood grab eyes in this Atlanta Symphony Decorators’ Showhouse kitchen designed by Matthew Quinn. The architecture of the 1920s house is highly decorative—“almost wedding cake-like,” Quinn says—and the curved lines of the hood reflect those elements.

    Haute Hardware

Designer Robert Schwartz accessorized this kitchen’s custom-designed black cabinets with glittering Swarovski hardware and delicate bead trim painted silver. “I added the silver bead inside the recessed panels for detail and to correlate with the stainless steel accents,” he says. White quartzite slab countertops lend elegance to the space while proving durable and easy-care work surfaces.

    Mirrored Screen

“We didn’t want a pass-through entry,” says Denise Rinfret, who with Missy Rinfret Minicucci designed the inviting foyer with expansive ceiling. An opulent mirrored quatrefoil screen gives the open space an intimate feel while obscuring the back stairwell. A silk rug echoes the geometric print underfoot.
